Position Description: Responsibility for operating powered industrial truck (PIT) with a layer pick attachment to pick product by layer, other powered material handling equipment, warehouse management system (WMS), and radio frequency (RF) equipment to load, unload, store, and retrieve products.
Location: St. Peters, MO
Shift: 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am, Rotating days
Compensation: $12.50 - $13.25 an hour
Responsibilities of the Case Picker:
Certification on material handling equipment
Utilizing Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Operating a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) with or without layer pick attachment
Read, decode, and decipher product coding
Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of warehouse
Report damaged product according to quality guidelines
Communicate work area needs to Warehouse Supervisor
Identify system or process issues and communicate those to Warehouse Supervisor
Maintain quality standards for warehouse storage and service
Maintain and ensure a safe working environment
Understanding of case pick process and/or load/unload/receiving process.
May unload inbound/outbound product from containers and stor according to system driven directives
May load inbound/outbound product to and from vehicles and containers
May put away/stage product in warehouse
Read, Decode, and decipher product coding in order to build orders and/or expedite product movement using SOPAcknowledge damaged product and handle according to SOP s
Responsible for inventory accuracy and inspection of product held in the warehouse
Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of warehouse and to adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP s ) at all times.
All other duties as assigned
Requirements of the Case Picker:
High school diploma or equivalent required
This is an intermediate level position and requires good interpersonal skills required.
Position requires attention to detail and the ability to maintain forklift certification
Generally prefer 2-4 years of experience
Must be familiar with OSHA regulations, able to operate a variety of equipment such as a forklift and a computer, and have strong organizational, inventory and mathematics skills.
