Our client is looking for a Compensation Analyst to conduct classification analysis and participate in special projects and studies as needed. You will coordinate the completion and maintenance of job descriptions ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations.

Job Title: Compensation Specialist

Location: North Chicago, IL

Hours: Monday through Friday; 8: 00 a.M. To 5: 00 p.M.

Job Duties for the Compensation Analyst:
  • Carry out job evaluations globally and recommend pay grades for new or revised jobs
  • Prepare recommendations on various pay actions such as promotions, equities, bonus buyouts, external offers, etc.) utilizing survey sources, market references, internal equity, and other data as appropriate
  • Completes survey submissions for annual and ad hoc salary surveys and utilizes results for the development of start rates, site wage proposals, salary structures and equity studies
  • Contribute support to special compensation projects such as salary planning, merit increases, short-term and long-term incentive plans.
  • Handle multiple tasks at once with differing deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements for the Compensation Analyst:
  • Bachelor s degree required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced changing environment
  • 3-6 years of previous experience in a compensation analyst role
  • Experience with market data, equity analysis, job evaluations, processing merit/bonus incentives and Salary Survey/ Peer Data
  • Experience with Hay Point Method point system or any other related point systems ideal
  • Global compensation experience preferred
