This Fortune 500 client is a nation-wide leader in the healthcare services field and they pride themselves on their ability to provide a wide range of government sponsored healthcare programs; including a variety of insurance solutions. Currently, they are seeking a Director, Contract & Network Development to oversee activities of the provider contracting, network development and/or provider relations functions

Position: Direct Hire

Location: Chesterfield, MO

Responsibilities of the Director, Contract & Network Development:
  • Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures that will benefit the department
  • Oversee contracting activities and ensure compliance with other business units
  • Develop strategic ways recruitment and contracting efforts can reach prospective or existing markets
  • Support business launces in diverse markets, but also take into consideration individual market circumstances (budget constraints, available resources, etc.)
  • Perform financial analysis to identify areas for cost improvement and ensure that department is meeting contracting goals/objectives
  • Oversee contract staff and provide leadership to the team when necessary; especially for new and expansion markets
  • Monitor staff members; providing leadership and performance management when necessary

Requirements of the Director, Contract & Network Development:
  • Bachelor s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Must have 7+ years of combined contracting, network development or provider relations experience
  • Previous experience in Medicaid/Medicare contracting and negotiating hospital, large physician groups, and ancillary service agreements
  • Experience with hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of staff
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on full-time basis
