Position: Contract-to-Hire (90 day probation, then transition to permanent employee)

Job responsibilities for the Fleet Safety and Compliance Specialist:
  • Assist in the development of programs that may eliminate liabilities of Owner Operators working under the authority of the company
  • Provide direction to the Owner Operator regarding policies and procedures
  • Maintain records of each driver and vehicle working under the authority of the company and make sure that all information is up-to-date.
  • Manage all accident claims by making sure claims are submitted to insurance and HR and provide any corrective actions/training for the drivers.
  • Conduct training that ensures that drivers are proactive rather than reactive in regards to safety and keeping up with Driver Fitness
  • Ensure all displays/posters are current with OSHA rules and regulations
  • Manage tracking systems to ensure the company is able to track weaknesses and improve on DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Provide leadership in converting the driver logbooks from paper logbooks to electronic
  • Participate in interviews, hiring, terminations, disciplinary actions, rewarding employees, and resolving problems

Job requirements for the Fleet Safety and Compliance Specialist:
  • Bachelor s degree or 1-2 years related experience is required
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Medical Card and Hazmat certification from the Department of Transportation.
  • Must be willing to participate in company training programs
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds if needed.
  • Ability to meet background and drug screen requirements
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on full-time basis
