Our client is looking for an Production Control Planner to coordinate and plan for a sufficient flow of work through the supply chain to meet customer demands and business objectives.

Shift: 6A.M.-2P.M. Monday -Friday

Compensation for the Production Control Planner: $15 based on experience

Responsibilities of Production Control Planner:
  • Conduct random inventory and safety stock audits to ensure material and parts availability to maintain established inventory levels and meet production demands.
  • Review work order printed for the current day and determine action to be taken
  • Add work orders utilizing information, schedule, reschedule or cancel orders as needed
  • Schedule system daily to close orders and update issue dates.
  • Insure material or parts for available orders are pulled from Kanban locations or roll mill and placed in the first operation.
  • In conjunction with Cell manager, review future production requirements to determine production cycles and quantities needed at punch press/roll mills. Communicate raw material requirements.
  • Daily review receiving maintenance documents on purchased item, move on hand inventories from "inspection" to proper cell location (Glovia) report discrepancies to receiving department.
  • Review critical data fields currently used with the MRP system.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements of Production Control Planner:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • APICS certification Preferred.
  • 2+ months of experience in a similar or related positon with general office and planning experience.
  • Prior experience working with Glovia database software is preferred.
  • Must be able to maintain a level state of alertness while performing this job.
  • Computer proficiency required in Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills, good problem solving and collaboration skills, be dependable, detail oriented and work well in a team environment.
