Position: Full-time; Contract

Job Duties:
  • Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including networks.
  • Setting up user account, maintain library of system documentation and install system-wide software and allocation of mass storage space.
  • Administration of personal computers, client servers, electronic mail, on-line and internet resources, local area networks and wide area networks, and standard application software products
  • Provide Linux expertise to design teams. Interact with users and analyze vendor products.
  • May recommend purchase of hardware and software, and coordinates installation with vendors and/or technicians.
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards of allocation and use of office automation equipment and resources.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of UNIX experience. 3 years of experience in systems support and working knowledge of specific technology to be administered.
  • Strong shell scripting skills (Bash/ Ksh) and strong Linux skills (Redhat Preferred).
  • Experience in PERL scripting, BMC BladeLogic server automation, and other Unix operating systems preferred. Familiarity with SDLC methodologies.
  • Must be able to lead technical projects with little supervision and have good communication skills to be able to work across multiple technical teams (Storage, Network, SAP Basis, Database).
