Our client, a major manufacturer in North Chicago, is looking for Customer Service Representatives on a contract basis in their busy call center. This position will handle a high volume of calls with speed and accuracy, demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and use multiple operating environments to meet the needs of customers.

Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Job Type: Full-time; 1 Year Contract

Location: Lake Forest, Lake County, IL

Shift Times: Monday - Friday; 9: 00 am - 6: 00 pm

Compensation: $18.14/hour

Job Duties of the Customer Service Representative:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, processing electronic (EDI; email; internet; fax) and phone orders.
  • Directly communicate (verbal and written) with customers while maintaining the highest levels for service, professionalism, accuracy and efficiency as well as an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Work in a team environment, able to effectively interface with internal groups such as Sales, Distribution/Logistics.
  • Take inbound or places outbound calls to provide information to customers.
  • Utilizes complex computer applications (Windows, DOS, Mainframe) and resource materials to retrieve customer or company information.
  • Must be able to learn and follow detailed instructions, use a variety of resources and possess good organizational skills to provide accurate information.

Job Requirements of the Customer Service Representative:
  • 3 to 5 years of customer service or high-volume call center experience required.
  • Bachelor s degree required.
  • Work with difficult customers and to facilitate one-call resolution.
  • Previous experience in a SAP environment is preferred.
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills required.
  • Ability to meet client's background and drug screen requirements.
