Our client, a major manufacturer with headquarters in North Chicago, is looking for Customer Support Associates on a contract basis in their busy call center. This position will handle a high volume of calls with speed and accuracy, demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and use multiple operating environments to meet the needs of customers.

Job Title: Customer Support Associate

Job Type: Full-time; 1 Year Contract

Shift: Monday - Friday, 9: 00 am 6: 00 pm

Job Duties of the Customer Support Associate:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, processing electronic (EDI; email; internet; fax) and phone orders.
  • Maintain highest levels for service, professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency as well as an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment, able to effectively interface with internal groups such as Sales, Distribution/Logistics.
  • Ability to utilize and apply multiple and varied job aides; understand how and when to access resources.
  • Demonstrates the ability to solve problems and make appropriate decisions.
  • Offer appropriate options based on situation. Recognizes when it is appropriate to escalate to supervisors.
  • Ability to handle difficult customers and to facilitate one-call resolution.

Job Requirements of the Customer Support Associate:
  • 3 to 5 years of customer service/call center experience required.
  • Bachelors Degree required and recent graduates strongly preferred.
  • Heavy and speedy keyboarding is required. Basic level Word and Excel experience required.
  • Must be familiar with search engines and be able to search and navigate using the internet.
  • Previous experience in an SAP environment preferred.
