Job Responsibilities of the Purchasing Associate:
Plan, perform and administer purchasing activities to assure that all assigned production parts and materials are delivered within required delivery, quality, compliance and pricing perimeters.
Conduct and document procurement activities and negotiations to support prudent buying decisions.
Maintain ongoing interface with various departments to assure that materials purchased meet requirements at the lowest practical cost.
Monitor open order reports.
Prepare monthly status reports and take appropriate corrective action on Monthly Reporting Factors.
Take an active leadership role on assigned projects.
Analyze invoice rejection issues.
Gather information, approvals, and changes in systems from management.
Prepare presentations for management on a regular basis.
Job Requirements of the Purchasing Associate:
Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing or general accounting including exposure to standard cost systems.
System knowledge of SAP, SRM, and Maximo.
Complete knowledge of Microsoft applications, mainly in worksheets and graph presentation covering macros and formulas.
Ability to pass client's background and drug screen requirements.
