HireLevel.is hiring for a Staff Accountant in Collinsville, IL!
Our client in Collinsville Illinois is a full service Accounting Agency that always gives a quality experience! Large enough to offer a full range of professional services, but small enough to provide and give the individual attention each client deserves. They are looking for a candidate to continue to provide the same friendly and accurate experience to their clients while working one on one with the direct owner and accountant.
The ideal candidate will have the general knowledge of bookkeeping skills and QuickBooks, as well as an aptitude for figures, organization, details, and problem-solving. Entry level or well rounded with experience, this opportunity has room to train and learn more, and be a great partner within the agency and to their clients!
Job Category: Full Time, Part Time | Contract to Hire, Direct Hire
Shifts: Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm
Compensation: $40,000-$60,000 based off experience
Location: Collinsville, IL
Responsibilities of a Staff Accountant:
- Records: Reviewing records of original entry regarding accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenditures, and income
- Reports: Preparing financial statements, including monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
- Tax Returns: Preparing and filing tax returns
- Ledgers: Maintaining general ledgers and accounts payable files
- Audits: Conducting audits of departmental business, contractors, commercial, industrial, and governmental accounts
- Account Management: Provide companies and individuals guidance on tax planning, payroll and tax questions, and budgeting items - interacting with clients with a professional and helpful attitude
Requirements of a Staff Accountant:
- Proficient using QuickBooks desktop or online systems
- Preparation of Individual or Business Tax Returns
- Reporting Skills, Time Management, Detail Oriented
- High level of professionalism with a positive attitude
