HireLevel is seeking an Accounting and Human Resource Specialist in Roxanna, Illinois. The Accounting and HR Specialist will play a pivotal role in our client’s operations, responsible for managing multiple accounting duties, overseeing HR functions, and handling diverse administrative tasks. This role will be multifaceted, contributing directly to the smooth functioning of the business’s daily operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Accounting/HR Specialist:
- Assist in managing financial transactions including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely payments and receivables
- Oversee HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary
- Oversee the creation, communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and contribute to policy development
- Assist in general accounting activities and serve as primary back up when needed
Job Requirements for Accounting/HR Specialist:
- 3-5 years of proven success working in accounting or human resources or a combination of both
- Experience with ADP a plus
- Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws
