HireLevel is seeking a Card Services Manager for a credit union in Edwardsville, Illinois. The Card Services Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving all aspects of debit and credit card products. This leader is accountable to deliver member satisfaction, create innovative member experiences, increase growth, and deliver cost-effectiveness and operational simplifications across all functional areas of the credit and debit card portfolio. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management of all card related activities including the operations and maintenance of cards
- Oversee operations of payment systems to include debit and credit
- Develop a strong team focused on operational excellence and member services
- Lead change with continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to process improvements, operational efficiencies, and superior member service
- Identify trends and opportunities through effective use of data analytics and industry trends
- Review, monitor and report analytical debit and credit card data as required
- Serve as liaison with our card processor vendor partners to create an exceptional member and employee experience
- Coordinate with Marketing to ensure appropriate placement and communication of program
- Partner with Risk Management and Compliance on fraud monitoring and reporting and contributes to new and revised rules for fraud prevention
- Prepare, implement, and supervise the budget for the department that is consistent with the overall strategy of the credit union
- Continuously identifies product gaps and generates new ideas to grow market share, improve customer experience, increase activation, and drives portfolio growth
- Develops product dashboards and metric recommendations in support of analyzing and evaluating strategic performance
- Prepare product use cases to drive product recommendations that align with overall strategic roadmap
- Develop pricing strategies and product policies in partnership with all applicable business units
- Liaison with Marketing to provide the necessary product knowledge and technical expertise to execute marketing strategy
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems, seeking management’s assistance when necessary
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years’ experience working with debit and credit cards in a card department or similar experience
- Minimum of two years’ managing or supervising experience
- General knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
- Ability to understand credit union software programs and interpret credit union terminology, policies and procedures.
