Job Description
HireLevel is seeking a Lab Technician located in Evansville, IN.
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Evansville, IN
Shift: Training during the day, then 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. with possible overtime required

Compensation: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
Responsibilities of the Lab Technician:
- Responsible for hands on completion of analysis of in-process and final batch test results in support of manufacturing and technology & innovation testing.
- Diligent detail in following lab procedures, record keeping and documentation, and accurate calculations and reporting basing decisions and actions on lab results.
- Communicate test results with various departments (operations, technology & innovation)
- Keep accurate and thorough documentation and lab records
- Manage multiple simultaneous samples in an organized high-quality manner
- Follow lab work instructions.
Requirements of the Lab Technician:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Lab experience a plus.
- Polymer testing (Ash, MFR, volatiles, color, etc.) a plus.
- ISO 17025 and ISO/TS 16949 quality system and audit experience a plus
- Ability to achieve an acceptable score on:
- Basic math test that includes calculating percent’s, averages, unit conversions and performing rounding. Passing score of a minimum of 70% required.
- Color aptitude test with a minimum scoring a 50 or lower using the Farnsworth-Munsell Hue Test.
- Ability to lift 55 pounds.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to safety.
- Self-motivated individual with strong output of accurate results.
- Must meet requirements for drug screening and criminal background policies.
