Job Description
HireLevel is looking for a Lab Tech in Marion, IL.
Our Client is a state-of-the art retina care division focused solely on the care of retinal disease. They first opened their doors in 1974, they’ve grown into a multi-specialty ophthalmological practice providing comprehensive medical, surgical and optical services to the communities of southern Illinois and southeast Missouri.
Job Category: Full-Time:
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Compensation: $16
Benefits: 401(k), Dental and health insurance, Paid time off
Responsibilities of Lab Tech:
- Preparing, cleaning, and coating lenses
- Weighing/measuring out product for use
- Ensuring lenses are clean of dust and debris, inspecting, sorting, washing, and preparing lenses for coating
- Setting up lenses in AR machines and operating the equipment to apply the anti-reflective coating
- Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment
- Inspecting coated lenses for defects and ensuring the coatings meet specified requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements of Lab Tech:
- High school diploma or GED
- Attention to detail is a must
- Experience working on equipment/machines
- Experience with Medical terminology
- Communicate effectively with staff and supervisors
- Must meet requirements for criminal background clearance and drug testing policies
