This Fortune 500 client is a nation-wide leader in the healthcare services field and they pride themselves on their ability to provide a wide range of government sponsored healthcare programs; including a variety of insurance solutions. They are currently seeking a Contract Analyst to assist with providing analytical support for network performance, unit cost trend, network profiling and evaluation, and contract modeling for current health plans.

Responsibilities of the Contract Analyst:
  • Support network performance by utilizing applications and other tools for analytic needs
  • Determine financial impact for national contracting opportunities, contract negotiations for health plans, and the impact of statewide rate changes
  • Evaluate financial impact of changes in reimbursement terms with providers and statewide rate changes for health plans
  • Report on network performance management and monitor/measure unit cost trends and network improvement opportunities
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of processes that could enhance stand-alone applications
  • Develop and recommend strategies to achieve company targeted results
  • Research market trends to improve unit cost performance for provider reimbursement
  • Evaluate alternative reimbursement methodologies to improve future business opportunities
  • Support contract negotiators by collaborating with health plans to evaluate analytic needs for contract modeling
  • Support, develop, and identify areas that need improvement; such as application solutions, and technical enhancements

Requirements of the Contract Analyst:
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have 4+ years of provider reimbursement and analysis, application development, data/contract analysis, and data mining or statistics; preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Intermediate knowledge of Access and Excel applications
  • Working knowledge of SQL tools, analytical software (SAS, SPSS, etc.) and Business Objects/Cognos preferred
  • Past MCO experience and a strong background in Access and SQL
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on full-time basis
