Job Category: Full-Time

Location: Carbondale, IL

Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Compensation: $16

Responsibilities for Delivery Driver:

• Demonstrates safe work practices, both on the road and while loading and unloading a truck.
• Observes and enforces local, state, and federal OSHA and DOT safety rules and regulations. 
• Loading invoices into our navigation pods (must know basic computer knowledge).
• Loads and unloads product(s) onto a truck and delivers to customer’s locations.
• Setting up furniture for deliveries, clean up the warehouse, repairing chairs, clean up in service.
• Making sure there is gas in the vehicles for the next day’s route.
• Checking oil in assigned vehicle to ensure levels are accurate.  
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and get in and out of a vehicle many times a day

Requirements for Delivery Driver:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Must have a valid drivers license 
• Must be trained or trainable to operate power material handling equipment i.e., Forklift, Pallet Jack, Wheeler etc.
• Basic computer skills 
• Excellent customer service skills, conducting customer contact in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to lift 50lbs 

• A minimum of one (1) year experience driving a delivery truck preferred
• Experience in using small hand and electrical tools preferred.
