HireLevel is seeking a Floating Financial Services Representative for a credit union in the Edwardsville, Illinois area. FSRs are one of the primary points of contact for the credit unions members.  They are responsible for creating an exceptional member experience by engaging with members who walk into the branch, over the phone and through outbound calling efforts.  During their conversations, FSRs are to educate members on the products and services SCU has to offer and resolve any questions or issues that arise.  This position must have the ability to work in multiple branch locations in the Metro East and St. Louis markets and rotating on Saturdays if needed. Our client is pleased to announce a Hiring Bonus for the Floating Senior Financial Services Representative of up to $1,000! Following the first 90 days of employment, $500* will be paid with payroll. Following the first six months of employment, an additional $500* will be paid with payroll.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying, educating, presenting and cross selling products and services to new and existing members in accordance with member engagement model.


  • Responsible for meeting individual sales and operational goals as well as assisting the branch team in achieving branch goals.


  • Recognize cross sale opportunities through needs based financial conversations, referring members to Mortgage, Commercial Banking and Retirement and Investment Services.


  • Ensures consistent delivery of credit union’s member engagement model leveraging technology including tablets, enhanced ATM’s and other digital service channels available to it’s members.


  • Maintain cross functional capabilities. Process financial transitions for members including opening and closing of accounts. Input, review, negotiate and close member loan application requests. Process deposits and withdrawals from accounts. Efficient in all teller duties as needed.


  • Daily opens and closes his/her teller terminal, accounts for cash assigned, received, disbursed.  Accurately balances to teller terminal close report and remits daily work to appropriate supervisor for disposition.


  • Perform required OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) screens as outlined in the Non-Member Verafin Processing policy and reports any positive matches to the BSA Group. Complies with BSA requirements of completing CTR and SAR.


  • Responds to routine member inquiries regarding the operation of accounts, access to services, account discrepancies, adding or reducing service features on various accounts, and assisting members.  


  • Work might be performed on the teller platform, at the drive-up windows or in the lobby.


  • Fosters and maintains relationships with members. Responsible for providing prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous member service. Investigates member concerns, researches and recommends a resolution. Ensures we are meeting expectations with member service satisfaction results. 


  • Must have in-depth knowledge of all credit union services, operational policies and procedures, and is able to communicate this knowledge effectively to staff and members.  Displays leadership ability plus a professional attitude and appearance at all times. Regular, predictable attendance is required.


 Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year customer service experience
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Minimum one year of experience with a financial institution
