Responsibilities of a Housekeeper:
- Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Assists visitors with directions whenever requested.
- Assist other Housekeeping staff as assigned.
- Adheres to dress code. Maintains a neat and clean appearance.
- Perform routine facility cleaning as assigned.
- Perform routine floor care to include mopping, waxing, vacuuming, and carpet spot cleaning.
- Demonstrates ability to do work on own with minimal supervision.
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled. Completes work within designated time.
- Uses only Southwestern approved and supplied products in performing the assigned tasks.
- Uses chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
- Performs periodic inventory of supplies as requested.
- Notifies supervisor when supplies are needed.
- Uses and maintains equipment properly.
- Demonstrate knowledge and observance of safety precautions. Reports safety hazards as appropriate.
- Completes annual education and training as scheduled.
- Laundry assignment includes: loading and unloading washer and dryer, operating equipment, and folding/ sorting laundry.
- In compliance with the Southwestern Privacy Compliance Plan, persons working within this job description will not have independent access to the patient clinical record.
- Able to travel to other facilities, as needed, to meet the needs of the business.

- Working conditions may include exposure to adverse weather conditions and unfavorable health and safety conditions such as pets, rodents, insects, unclean environments, foul smells, animal waste, drug paraphernalia, and hostile and/or threatening individuals.
