The Human Resource Manager will plan, direct and coordinate human resource management activities of the organization to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies and regulatory compliance.
Location: Marion, IL
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000/year

Responsibilities of Human Resource Manager:
Identifies staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants.
Allocates human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.
Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
Plan, and coordinate activities relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.
Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
Responsible for all of parts of these areas: recruiting, staffing logistics, organizational planning, performance management and improvement systems; organizational development, employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting, employee safety for Field Service and Warehouse employees.
Recommend, develop, and schedule training and development courses.
Negotiate third party staffing contracts and participate in request for proposals.
Use HR metrics to evaluate the process of the human resource department.
Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine cause for personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization’s personnel policies and practices.
Other duties may be assigned, directed or requested.
Requirements of Human Resource Manager:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related curriculum, SPHR Certification preferred
5-8 years’ experience in human resources, including employee relations
Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in verbal and written form in front of small and large groups
Knowledge of sound techniques in many of the key aspects of HR management and the ability to apply and quickly adapt practices and techniques to the needs of the business
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal tactfully with employees at all levels. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management, employees, vendors, and others
Attracting, developing and retaining outstanding talent which represents the available talent pool; developing, growing and retaining talent
Implementing successful employee relations strategies
