Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of human resources functions and duties. The Human Resources Generalist contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives with the implementation of services, policies, and programs, and by assisting company managers with Human Resources support.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm
Compensation: 45,000- $55,000 Based on experience
Responsibilities of HR Generalist

- Responsible for the recruitment initiatives of employees
- Responsible for knowing the organization’s needs for hourly and salaried associates and executing the recruitment process to meet those needs in a timely manner. Recommends and implements recruitment plans (ads, web, etc.).
- Manages all company temporary agency relationships.
- Ensures the interviewing and hiring practices are compliant with applicable policies and regulations.
- Ensures all staffing related costs are planned, well-executed and bottom line sensitive.
- Prepares and administers programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
- Administers drug testing and background checks for pre-employment.
- Prepares and maintains reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the Human Resources department.
- Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.
- Works with Supervisors to ensure job descriptions are up to date and in IQMS.
- Advertises Associate job openings, internally, and externally, and keeps up with company recruitment policies.
- Measures voluntary and involuntary turnover metrics and makes recommendations if required.
- Coaches and supports Supervisors and Associates in employee-relation initiatives.
- Gathers and coordinates all information for the interview process
Requirements of HR Generalist :
- University or College in the Human Resources concentration or equivalent plus additional specialized training provided by the company as required.
- Above average attendance with flexibility for extended hours before and after normal business hours.
- Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience preferred.
- Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ambassador of change.
- Excellent organizational skills foster cross functional team building.
- Very strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exhibits leadership courage to influence the organization to achieve goals.
- Flexible, assertive, stress tolerant, optimistic, and socially responsible.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
