HireLevel is seeking a Lab Technician to join our client’s team in Lebanon, TN! In this role, you’ll assist the Quality Assurance and Research & Development teams in testing, improving, and maintaining the quality of food products. You’ll be hands-on in the lab—mixing batches, preparing samples, and ensuring all testing aligns with food safety and regulatory standards.

• Support product development by preparing, testing, and evaluating product samples.

• Create premixes and coordinate sample testing for internal and external feedback.

• Manage documentation and tracking of formula changes and sample requests.

• Apply food science knowledge to improve product formulas and processes.

• Work with the team on product rollout initiatives, including quality, marketing, and training discussions.

• Obtain and organize ingredients following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.

• Mix test batches and package products according to blend sheet specifications.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.

• Provide support to the R&D and QC teams as needed, including testing, troubleshooting, and sensory evaluations.

• Assist with maintenance scheduling and customer sample investigations when necessary.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework or experience in food science, chemistry, or a related field preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for the duration of your shift.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to complete Food Safety and Workplace Safety training.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and maintain regular attendance.
