Job Title: Delivery Driver CDL

Job Type: Contract to Hire 

Location: Columbia, MO.

Pay: $23.83 – $24.42/hour

Driver Incentive Program (eligible after 90 days)- chance to earn $100 extra per week.

Responsibilities of the Local Route Driver:

Delivery & Customer Service

• Deliver products to customers within designated delivery windows while ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
• Provide excellent customer service during each delivery interaction.
• Ensure proper handling of goods to maintain product quality and safety.

Safety & Compliance 

• Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Follow company standards related to food safety, sanitation, allergen control, and food defense protocols.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures at all times.

Vehicle & Equipment Management

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure vehicles are in safe working conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness of delivery trucks and equipment.
• Return all pallets, milk crates, and equipment after deliveries.

Reporting & Accountability

• Promptly report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues to management.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
• Support operational efficiency by following assigned routes and schedules.

Requirements of the Delivery Driver:

Licensing & Certifications

• Valid Class E (Required)
• Air Brakes endorsement (Required)

Experience & Skills

• Previous delivery or driving experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and route navigation.
• Ability to meet delivery timelines and mange workload independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, load and unload product as needed.
• Capable or working in a physically active role that involves regular driving, loading and unloading.
