HireLevel is hiring a Machinist/Waterjet Operator for one of our clients in Bridgeton, MO.

In this role, you’ll operate manual machining tools and serve as the primary operator for waterjet equipment, ensuring precision and quality in all tasks. Shift: 1st: Monday - Friday from 7a - 3:30p
Location: Bridgeton, MO
Compensation: $19 - $21/hr. (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities of Machine Operator
- Operate CNC waterjet equipment and manual machining tools.
- Develop and adjust programs from wire models as needed.
- Perform machining tasks, including drilling, tapping, deburring, and polishing.
- Utilize tools such as drill presses and band saws.
- Produce close-tolerance parts from various materials using manual machining and waterjet equipment.
- Interpret and execute drawings for setup and production.
- Calibrate waterjet machinery to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder materials as needed.
- Suggest improvements to enhance production processes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Machine Operator:
Must have a least 2 years experience with a variety of manual machining tools - mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, etc.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as a machinist; waterjet equipment exposure is a plus.
Ability to read and understand shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints to create parts.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Frequent walking, climbing, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead.
- Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
