Job Description
HireLevel is looking for a Production Worker in Herrin, IL!
This client is an expanding, American family-owned and operated business for over 40 years. We are currently accepting one new candidate for our On-the-job training program in our CNC machine operator department. Join our team and we will teach you about a dying and unique trade that is much needed in the manufacturing world.
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Herrin, IL
Shift: Monday - Friday | 7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Compensation: $16.00 / hour
Benefits offered at Contract to Hire:
- After 6 months of service, pay increases to $16.50/hour, and after 1-year service pay increases to $17/hour

Responsibilities of Production Worker:
- Assembling of small pieces
- Machine operating and setup
- Documenting data and labeling containers
- Weighing buckets for accurate piece count
- Packing and inspecting
- Forklift operating.
- Detail oriented
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements of Production Worker:
- Manufacturing (3+ years min. preferred)
- Sitting on forklift and on feet all day
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Lifting requirements of 50 lbs
- Experience using computer/scales
- Reliable/Dedicated/Competent individual- Able to work with little or no supervision
- Team Player – with a Positive Mental Attitude!
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment & tolerate extreme heat
- HS/GED Required -- AS/AA Preferred
- Pre-employment Drug Test, Background check
