Responsibilities of Industrial Maintenance Technician
- Perform preventive maintenance of equipment and maintenance inspections.
- Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for the production of food products
- Ensures that equipment used in the manufacturing processes are maintained in accordance with the standards and expectations for each department and product line
- Ensure operation of machinery, electrical and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, gearboxes, hydraulic/pneumatic systems and process equipment.
- Repair mechanical equipment including conveyors, gear reducers, seals, bearings, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, blowers, and vacuum systems.
- Maintain infrastructure in facility and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and cosmetic building repair including light carpentry, painting, etc.
- Safely operate a wide variety of power tools and hand tools Perform all activities in a safe manner and report any safety concerns immediately.
- Complete detailed documentation in RedZone in an accurate and timely manner.
Requirements for Industrial Maintenance Technician:
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards and USDA, SQF and GMP regulations
- Associates degree preferred, will consider a High School diploma or GED, with 2-3 years of appropriate practical experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Possess a high level of mechanical skills and aptitude in areas such as but not limited to: Electrical troubleshooting (high and low voltage)
- Welding Utilities such as domestic HVAC and compressed air and boilers and instrumentation
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance
- Process understanding.
- Ability to excel in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, good organizational skills and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines promptly
- Positive, winning attitude with a team first focus
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds regularly.
