HireLevel is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our client in Indianapolis, IN!

The ideal candidate is mechanically strong, safety-focused, and confident troubleshooting equipment issues independently. This individual is comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and can effectively communicate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full-Time (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Shift (C Shift – Days):
5:30 AM – 5:30 PM- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and every other Thursday
Shift (D Shift – Nights):
5:30 PM – 5:30 AM- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and every other Thursday
Similar Positions: Facilities Technician, Service Technician, Maintenance Specialist
Compensation: $30–32 per hour
A current resume is required to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities for Maintenance Technicians:
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and piping systems
- Assist with electrical troubleshooting up to 480V
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Disassemble and repair equipment as needed
- Support food-grade (HACCP) safety and quality standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements for Maintenance Technicians:
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience required
- 80% mechanical / 20% electrical maintenance experience required
- Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must meet background check and drug screen requirements
