Job Description

HireLevel is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist for a fresh food distributor in St. Charles, MO.The Marketing and Communications Specialist will promote products and services to existing and prospective customers through strategic use of graphics, logos, videos, and other promotional products while maintaining social media platforms.

They serve a variety of customers from multi-unit restaurants, hotels, non-profits, hospitals, stadiums, food service companies, local restaurants, and catering companies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with sales, buyers, and leadership to fully understand product, training and development needs and communication requests.
  • Gathers the materials necessary to understand the project and competition in the area such as literature or previous marketing campaigns; analyzes these materials to determine the most effective communications technique.
  • Based on assessment of the current market trends, candidate will draft and propose communications campaigns, which include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia.
  • Manage product photography for e-commerce website.
  • Presents design ideas and recommendations to the Chief of Staff, Sales, and Leadership.
  • Creates and coordinates multimedia packages.
  • Schedules, develops and executes filming scripts and production.
  • Evaluates the success of campaigns when completed.
  • Attends trade shows and community events.
  • Analyze and present ROI data to support marketing efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or a related field
  • Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects; a portfolio of relevant previous projects is highly preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Preferred experience in Wagtail, HubSpot, Canva, Mailchimp, and Adobe or related software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent photography and videography skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with the community, customers, and vendors
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
