In the role of a Member Support Representative, the main functions of this role would be to assist members and potential members with their telephone requests by explaining services, directing phone calls and responding to problems and questions.
Job Category: Full Time, Part Time | Contract to Hire
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm, with rotating Saturday's 8:00am - 1:00pm
Compensation: $17/hr
Location: Wood River, IL

Responsibilities of a Member Support Representative:
- Handle inbound calls
- Assist members and potential members with requests such as:
verifying account information, processing payments/stop payments, verifying deposits, transfer funds, troubleshoot problems with online banking - Answer loan questions, calculate payments and take loan applications
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and services to members
- Maintain member account information within computer system
- Other job duties as assigned
Experience and Education Requirements of a Member Support Representative:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience within a call center environment
- Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook
- Understanding of financial operations and credit union products and services preferred
Skill Requirements of a Member Support Representative:
- Listening Skills
- Telephone etiquette
- Relationship building
- First level conflict resolution
- Ability to operate computer, utilize PC applications, and a 10-key calculator
