Join a woman-owned law firm specializing in estate planning, estate administration, business law, and real estate (litigation & transactional). They are seeking a dedicated, tech-savvy, and personable in-office Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support their growing practice.
As a key member of the firm, you will assist in legal document preparation, case management, and client communication, ensuring smooth operations while working closely with attorneys. They value initiative, independence, and a commitment to professional growth. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a knack for multitasking, and possesses strong computer skills across various billing systems.
Job Type: Full time
Location: Marion, IL
Shift: Monday-Friday | 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Compensation: $21 - $25/hr. Based on Experience

Responsibilities of Paralegal/Legal Assistant:
- Communicate with clients in person, over the phone and via email
- Process potential client inquiries and initial background research
- Assist attorney with documentation preparation for court cases
- Print documents and prepare folders for estate planning signing meetings
- Witness signings and copy/scan/upload documents to computer file
- Transcribing and proofreading legal documents
- Schedule, organize and calendar court dates, meetings and depositions
- Other office/clerical tasks as needed
Requirements of Paralegal/Legal Assistant:
- Paralegal Certification recommended but not required
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Work programs
- Previous experience working with a law firm
- Must be dependable and function well in a team environment
- Good computer skills, writing knowledge and excellent customer service skills are a must
- Must meet requirements for background and drug testing policies
