HireLevel is looking for multiple Production Welder Assistant in Westfield, IN!

Shift: 4:00p-12:30a Monday-Friday

Compensation: $19 per hour
Various production positions include:
- Steel Handler
- Puller/Loader
- General Labor
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support welder in loading rebar lengths ranging from 10’ – 12’ into fixture.
- Hand load small steel parts into fixtures.
- Stand idle while welder performs welds.
- Support welder in wire tying bundles and handloading approximately 75 lbs bundles onto skids.
- Wear standard PPE requirements and safety practices.
- Attention to detail.
- Communicating efficiently with the team members.
- Adhering to all the safety rules and regulations.
Critical Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Performing General Physical Activities: Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body
- Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings: Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
- Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates: Providing information to supervisors, and co-workers.
- Handling and Moving Objects: Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving and manipulating materials.
- Safety and Security: Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective safety for the protection of people and property.
- Tools: Personal protective equipment (hard hats, safety glasses, etc.)
Requirements for Welder Helpers:
- High School diploma or GED not required, if the candidate has work experience.
- Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- 6+ months of warehouse experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
- Welding Experience is a plus
