HireLevel. is looking for Working Production Manager in Wood River, IL!
Our client located in Wood River is looking for skilled assembly candidates! In this role, your responsibility will consist of assembling and fabricating various components to create a finished product! The knowledge needed to be successful in this position is being proficient in using both hand and power tools and the ability to be detail oriented.
Job Type: Full Time, Temp to Hire || Benefit package once taken temp to hire!
Location: Wood River, IL
Compensation: Up to $30-32/hr based on Experience
Hours: Monday - Friday || 8:30am - 5:00pm; overtime as needed
Responsibilities of the Working Production Manager
- Interview and train team members as needs
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and work instruction
- Use hand tools to assemble parts; pliers, screwdrivers, etc
- Test and troubleshoot assembled products for functionality
- Measure and inspect components using calipers and other measuring instruments
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient productions processes
- Schedule work for the production area and create tables to reflect schedule .
- Set timetables for anticipated completion of systems whether for assembly or repair
- Monitor progress of work in the production area, as well as production personnel, and report to management about production and personnel.
- Set an example of behavior to others in LGP and Build up the expertise of assembly and repair personnel at LGP
- Organization of all inventory, ordering, assembly into lists, schedules and sign sheets. Some already existing and what needs to be added.
- Equipment Phone Troubleshooting, and taking shifts on off business hours to cover phones.
- Maintain cleanliness of production area; machine shop area as well as assembly & repair areas, by setting an example and soliciting help from others to carry out cleaning activities
- Continued communication with management is key to the success of this position
Requirements of Working Production Manager :
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must have 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse
- Previous experience supervising employees
- Must have at least 1 year of supervisory experience
- Experience with warehouse equipment,
- Proficient in electronic assembly techniques
- Ability to work with small parts
- Familiarity with tools and calipers
- Knowledge of basic electronic wiring principles
