HireLevel powered by Extra Help is seeking a Part-Time Purchasing Agent for one of our clients located in Belleville, IL.
Location: Belleville, Illinois
Title: Purchasing Agent
Pay Rate: $15-$20/hour, Based on Experience
Hours: 10am-1pm Monday through Friday
- Obtain and manage sources of supply for the products and services required to operate the company. Buy without personal prejudice, avoid conflicts of interest, act honestly and maintain high standards of personal conduct.
- Process all purchase requests within 3 days. Prioritizing items as necessary.
- Maintain close contact with key suppliers. Maintain supplier records. Prepare supplier evaluations and maintain approved supplier list based on value, quality and reliability.
- Assist with physical inventories as needed.
- Follow the ISO 9001-2015 quality system.
- Must follow the safety requirements for the materials used as outlined on the Safety Data Sheets.
- Perform miscellaneous office duties as requested by management.
- Must be self-directed and motivated. Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
Education Required - Bachelor's degree in Business preferred.
Training Required - Must have good computer skills, spreadsheets and word processing. Good communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Experience Required - Prior experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment with a quality system preferred. Experience with ISO 9001-2015, a plus!
