Job Description

HireLevel is seeking a Quality Engineer in Marion, ILThis position will support the Quality Control Section Manger in the completion of various duties required to meet the goals of the department. This includes ensuring that the products compliance meets customer standards and interface with customers regarding manufacturing quality issues. This person will report to the Quality Control Section Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure product's compliance with Customer's requirements
  • Interface with customer relating manufacturing quality issues
  • Work with approved supplier to procure quality subcomponents using PPAP
  • Particpate in drawing review at early product planning stages
  • Particpate in cross functional PFMEA activity
  • Particpate in cross functional control plan development
  • Implement customer part approval process activity per AIAG guidelines
  • Evaluate data, set control levels and maintain SPC control charts on selected items
  • Present information at Quality Review stages
  • Provide feedback regarding customer quality information to manufacturing
  • Coordinate and implement quick countermeasure activity
  • Meet with MFG to understand in-process problems & subcomponent trouble
  • Maintain set of current drawings
  • Implement customer part approval process activity per AIAG guidelines
  • Will perform other reasonably related tasks within the company as required by the supervisor or management

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science 4+ year degree (BSC or BEng) in engineering, or engineering technology
  • The university issuing this degree must have a H.L.C. and A.B.E.T. accredidation
  • Accepted Engineering or Engineering Technology degrees; Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Control, Computer engineering, Electro-mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Mechatronics
  • Robotics engineering and Systems
  • 5 year of prior applicable experience in manufacturing
  • Electronics and Automotive experience desired
  • Valid passport required for travel
  • Solidworks or other CAD drawing software experience preferred
