Job Title: Quality Supervisor
Job Type: Contract
Location: Belleville, IL
Salary: $50,000-60,000 based on experience
Similar Positions: Quality Control, Quality Assurance Tech
Responsible for overall quality of products released by the company. Monitors and evaluates internal production processes, examining products to determine their quality and engage with management and customers, to gather product feedback.
Responsibilities of Quality Supervisor:
- Inspects incoming raw material/ingredients and conducts testing to assure product quality.
- Maintain quality standards to assure that finished goods conform to specific parameters.
- Perform scheduled inspections on all finished goods.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and initiate corrective actions.
- Inspect labels to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain all laboratory equipment and verification logs.
- Maintain retained sample system for finished goods.
- Maintain testing records for raw materials and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate records for compliance.
- Perform internal audits and warehouse inspections.
- Ensure plant wide compliance with food safety and quality standards in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
- Support the QA Manager in assuring that requirements are met.
- Ensure that proper sanitation procedures are used.
Requirements for Quality Supervisor:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of related experience and or training.
- HACCP Certification or willing to obtain.
- SQF Certification or willing to obtain.
- Knowledge of various government regulations including OSHA, USDA, & FDA.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication.
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
