Returnable Drum Filler
Job Description
HireLevel is hiring a Returnable Drum Filler in Evansville, IN.
The Returnable Drum Filler is responsible for filling returnable drums according to customer and company specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role ensures proper inspection of drums, accurate filling processes, and clean, safe work conditions. The Returnable Drum Filler works closely with production and plant leadership to support daily operations and meet production goals.
Location: Evansville, IN
Shift: Monday - Friday
Shift: Monday - Friday
2nd shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm ($2/hr shift premium) Monday – Friday
3rd shift: 11:00pm – 7:30am ($2/hr shift premium) Monday – Friday
Pay: $17.50 - $19.50/hr.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with production team members and leadership
- Inspect returnable drums for damage prior to filling and report issues to management
- Fill returnable drums in accordance with established procedures and specifications
- Operate filling equipment to maximize product quality and production output
- Keep assigned equipment and work areas clean, organized, and orderly
- Ensure all safety guards, devices, and apparatuses are in place and functioning properly
- Perform real-time production reporting in SAP and complete daily production reports
- Communicate safety, quality, or maintenance concerns promptly to supervisors
- Verify press seals are defect-free and ensure air valves function correctly
- Perform cartridge filling duties as assigned (Uhlhorn location only)
- Remove plates from expired drums as required
- Safely operate a forklift as needed
- Follow all site safety, quality, and operational policies

- Willingness to follow safety procedures and report concerns
Education & Experience
- Education: High School Diploma required
- Experience: Manufacturing and/or production experience preferred; chemical or industrial environment experience a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs frequently and over 60 lbs occasionally
- Prolonged standing and movement throughout the facility
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as required
- Handling of large containers and equipment
- Fine motor control and visual focus required for inspection and filling tasks
