HireLevel is partnering with a long-standing manufacturer looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to join their team in Valmeyer, IL.
Job Title: Retail Sales Assistant
Job Category: Full-Time | Contract (3-4 months)

Shift: Monday – Friday | 8a – 4:30p

Responsibilities of Retail Sales Assistant
Sales Support functions:
- Track & record customer contracts, including data entry of invoices related to contracts.
- Handle and resolve customer issues and follow up on past due accounts.
- Calculate commissions and other customer incentive programs.
- Reconcile accounts for accuracy.
- As backup for Switzer receptionist (for lunches and vacation/personal days) answer main telephone lines promptly and professionally. Provide other assistance as needed.
- Process customer orders obtained by phone, fax and internet, including coordination of delivery and sourcing freight carrier.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Sitting – 90-95% of the job is sitting.
- Lifting – Some lifting is required, normally not exceeding twenty (20) pounds.
- Work Environment – When walking into the production area, the floors are wet and slippery; therefore, proper footwear must be worn. Must wear company provided safety and sanitation gear as needed.

Minimum Requirements of Retail Sales Assistant
- Associate’s degree in business administration, or related field, preferred.
- Four or more years of sales support experience, to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties.
- Must have advanced knowledge of a variety of office practices and procedures, such as use of office equipment including 10-key calculator, MS Office software, and accounting software.
