Job Description

HireLevel is seeking a Tax Manager for an CPA Firm in Marion, IL. The Tax Manager will support the firm’s clients and provide support and leadership to the staff they work with. This person will work on tax projects, assist with workflow and be responsible for billing and WIP analysis among other tasks.   • Pay: $70,000-$100,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with client projects as assigned and function as the lead for the client relationships
  • Address client inquiries
  • Work with the team on tax and office projects
  • Prepare and review all types of tax returns (i.e., 1040, 1120, 1065, etc.) efficiently and effectively
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through a comprehensive knowledge of tax planning including estate planning
  • Actively participate in ATLAS’ advisory services efforts.
  • Responsible for (along with other Managers, Partners and Seniors) billing and WIP analysis
  • Participate and promote ATLAS initiatives such as the Coaching Program and other Firm activities
  • Train and develop other team members
  • Identify areas of potential improvements in processes and procedures

 Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of applicable experience
  • Bachelor’s degree Tax Accounting required
  • CPA Preferred
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to lead team members and manage others’ assignments at times
  • Regularly use QuickBooks Online and Desktop with proficiency
  • Knowledge of GAAP
