Job Description
HireLevel is looking for a Packaging Operator in Hazelwood, MO.

The ideal candidate will have experience with machine operation and forklift skills.
Job Category: Temp to Hire
Location: Hazelwood, MO
Shift: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm
Compensation: $20/hour

Responsibilities of the Packaging Operator:
- Assist in processing and packaging powdered materials
- Adhere to safety management standards and OSHA/ANSI compliant policies
- Perform routine cleaning of equipment and work area
- Set up and operate production equipment, troubleshoot basic process faults, and make required adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
- Safely changeover, start-up, and shutdown all equipment in assigned work area. This could include grinding, packing, blending, or freeze-drying equipment
- Manually load ingredients into milling and blending equipment
- Palletize finished goods into totes for shipping
- Use forklift or walkie stacker to move material around facility, load, or unload trucks
Requirements of the Packaging Operator:
- Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends as needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to input data into a computer
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods
- Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience driving a forklift preferred
- Ability to wear respirator as needed
