HireLevel is looking for a Warehouse Manager / Procurement Manager in Murphysboro, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity with our client, a growing HVAC and mechanical contractor seeking a strategic leader to oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and procurement functions.

Shift: Monday Through Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm
Compensation: $70,000/year (Based on Experience)

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Procurement Manager
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, staging, and issuing materials
- Organize warehouse layout to improve efficiency, accuracy, and technician accessibility
- Coordinate job material staging for construction and service teams
- Maintain warehouse safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies
- Implement and maintain a structured inventory control program including cycle counting and stock level management
- Establish and maintain minimum/maximum inventory levels for stocked items
- Implement cycle count and inventory audit procedures
- Identify slow moving or obsolete inventory and develop strategies to reduce excess stock
- Work with field supervisors and project managers to forecast material requirements
- Ensure proper tracking of materials through the ERP system
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Manage procurement of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical materials, equipment, and tools
- Negotiate vendor pricing, rebates, and supply agreements
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
- Create and manage purchase orders and track delivery schedules
- Support competitive bidding for large equipment purchases and project material packages
- Implement and oversee Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs where applicable
- Work with vendors to establish replenishment programs and improve supply chain efficiency
- Monitor vendor performance including pricing, delivery timelines, and quality
ERP & Process Development
- Assist leadership with ERP system implementation and transition
- Help develop workflows for purchasing, receiving, inventory tracking, and job costing
- Ensure accurate item setup, vendor records, and pricing structures in the ERP system
- Work with accounting to ensure proper integration between procurement and financial systems
Requirements of the Warehouse Procurement Manager
- 5+ years experience in warehouse management, procurement, or supply chain operations
- Experience with inventory control systems
- Experience negotiating pricing and terms with vendors
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems or inventory management software
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, or construction industries
- Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing parts, materials, and terminology
- Experience implementing inventory systems or ERP transitions
- Experience with Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
